Tom Gardener is a brochure website for trades that need a modern presence that would improve trust, generate more quote requests, and make it easier for customers to find services on mobile devices.
Problems Solved:
Tom Gardener was built to solve many of the recurring problems with trade sites:
Room to Grow
It’s completely scalable. It’s built on WordPress with the free Elementor builder so new pages/sections can be added as needed. Many trade sites nowadays are done by AI and will struggle with iterative improvements because nobody actually knows how the site was built.
Adaptable to All Trades
Tom Gardener is obviously styled after a gardener but virtually all trades have the same site structure because their customers have the same needs: a local service, performed by a professional who is trustworthy. You need to convey your services, your professionalism, and your location – with contact options, and a gallery for proof perhaps. This makes this site very adaptable, and it would work just as well for a sparkey as a gardener or roofer.
Generate Leads
It makes contact easy. Sticky header with a contact button, a contact form in the hero section, and a contact form in the footer. Some sites bury contact options. Tom Gardener has them all front-and-centre as soon as the page loads, including area served, phone number, and trust signals.
Trust Signals
In the hero and a testimonials system down below. Trades thrive on trust, many trade sites emphasise more of the “about” or “why” as opposed to the fact they can be trusted. Most trades work on private property, this is one of the first hurdles they have to overcome.
Serving Phones Too
Light design. While still keeping images and gallery features, the site is light and fast to support browsing on mobiles and weak connections. Losing leads over a sluggish site is not a good feeling; trade sites are often not very well optimised because they’re cheap start-up projects for new designers still refining their craft.
This is also fully mobile responsive. It’s built in blocks so it adapts to phone and computer perfectly, with text and elements spaced well to avoid overload/over-crowding.
